Who are SpecialCarhire and can I trust them?

Special carhire is a carhire wholesaler that is able to negotiate extremely competitive worldwide rates.

Specialcarhire often have depots literally just outside of airport locations but still class them as onsite if a shuttle bus is available to pick you up and drop you off

SpecialCarhire will email you with the pickup company details and a voucher once you have booked. You should use this voucher and not our automated voucher when picking up your car.

SpecialCarhire do not own any depots so you should always contact the depot (provided once you have booked) if you are running late. If you need to ammend a booking please contact us and we will gladly help.

How do I book a vehicle I've seen on your site?

Click on the vehicle you have chosen to be taken directly to a booking page. Here you will find all the details and terms relating to the vehicle you have chosen. If you are happy then you simply book from this page. Some countries require pre payment, whilst others (like Australia) require you to pay when you collect the car. If we ask you for your credit card then it means you must pre pay (fully or a deposit).

What do I need to make a booking?

It differs for different suppliers but generally you need a credit card in the name of the lead driver and your flight details so the rental supplier can track your flight if it is delayed for example (if applicable).

What happens after I've made my booking?

Most bookings happen through our booking engine. For these reservations you will receive an automated booking email which contains a reservation number. This must be printed and taken with you when you collect your car.

For bookings where you are taken to a third party website, the exact process will be slightly different. If we send you to another website you can fully trust the process. If you believe there is something wrong then please let us know immediately.

What happens if there is a problem during my rental?

You should be given full details at the rental counter, if you encounter any issues we suggest you contact your rental supplier as they have access to all your information. Unfortunately as we are a comparison site we do not have exact information relating to your specific rental.

What happens if I have a question about my booking?

You should contact the rental supplier you made your booking with as they have all your detailed booking information.

If I sign up to the Newsletter, will I be spammed?

NO! We take our legal obligations very seriously. We have used a professional third party system to handle our newsletter signups and signoffs. Any details you provide to us will be kept by us and not sold or given to any third party entity.
